| I've been MIA for far too long! Life, as always, is crazy! But I've got exciting things to share. First of all, we reached 100% of our ministry budget so we are starting on campus this month! Praise the Lord! He is a faithful Provider! Second, Sevo and I just returned from a fabulous trip to Kenya for Christmas! It was truly amazing. Sevo had not been home for Christmas in 11 years and God miraculously provided the funds for us to go. We spent about 10 days in the village where Sevo's parents live (no electricity, very simple, peaceful living), then we spent two nights in a game park where wild animals roamed outside our tent, two nights on the beach in Mombasa (beautiful!), and the rest of our time in Nairobi hanging out with family, shopping, etc. It was hard to come back, especially to Ice World! I'm still peeling from a sunburn I got on the beach and here I am in 0 degree temperatures with icicles hanging everywhere. It took us several days to get home due to flight cancellations from the ice storm and power outages. But we're here, and as always, there's no place like home! Here are a few sample pics of our trip (I took over 1,400!). | | |
| Been having a blast with our family from Kenya. We've been to the zoo & Science Center in St. Louis and most recently, the great Ozark Empire Fair! I think Silver Dollar City and the lake are our next stops in their whirlwind tour of the Ozarks. Check out these pics of our adventures
The last pic is of my niece and I up on this crazy ride at the fair! It's the craziest ride I've ever been on and the only ride I've ever ridden where I've been extemely fearful for my life. But it was quite exhilarating! | | |
| I love having guests from overseas! My sister-in-law and niece are in town this month from Kenya. This is our niece, Samantha's, first time to the U.S. (and first time to leave Kenya), so she is wide-eyed and enjoying the experience of everything from Wal-Mart to Andy's frozen custard. Here are some pics of her and Sevo on her first trip to Andy's. Yummy!

| Today is our 3rd wedding anniversary! Since it fell on a Wednesday this year, we decided to go away for a fun weekend last weekend to Lake of the Ozarks. We had a great time, relaxing, shopping, eating, and hiking. Here are some pics, mostly from our hike in Ha Ha Tonka Park (you know you live in Missouri when state parks have names like this!).

| Just wanted to shout out to my hubby, Sevo: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!
What a wonderful man I am married to! I thank God for the amazing gift and blessing he is to me. Unfortunately, he doesn't "do" xanga (I'm working on him), but if you want to send him any wishes, I'll make sure he gets them. Have a great weekend!
